The burks BZQ and BHQ are semi-adjustable-blade submersible axial-flow and mixed-flow pumps (submersible electric pumps), the modern replacement for conventional axial and mixed-flow pumps. They keep the advantages of large single-unit flow, wide head range and high efficiency. The driving motor is a dry, fully enclosed submersible three-phase asynchronous motor, and the pump can run submerged continuously for long periods, with benefits no conventional unit can match.
From the manual (Chinese): product overview
● Wide adaptability: handles clear water and light sewage, liquid temperature up to 40 C, pH 4-10, max. solids passage 100 mm
● Low station investment: running submerged greatly simplifies civil and structural works, reduces the installation area and saves 30-40% of construction cost
● Easy installation and operation: motor and pump are one unit, no time-consuming on-site shaft alignment; easy to manage, low running cost, ready for remote and automatic control
● Low noise: no high temperature in the station, a better working environment, and the station can be built fully underground to preserve the ground landscape
● High reliability, low vibration and noise: double or triple mechanical seals reliably prevent leakage; F-class insulated motor with temperature protection, monitoring and leakage alarms
| Item | Data |
| Suitable head | Submersible axial-flow pumps suit low-head, large-flow duty, normally below 10 m head; submersible mixed-flow pumps offer high efficiency and good cavitation performance for large water-level variation and higher heads, up to 20 m |
| Pumped liquid | Clear water and light sewage, temperature up to 40 C, pH 4-10, solids up to 100 mm |
| Motor | Dry fully enclosed submersible 3-phase asynchronous motor, F-class insulation, temperature protection and leakage alarm |
| Sealing | Double or triple mechanical seal |

Sectional drawing of large submersible pump
Urban water supply, water diversion projects, urban sewage drainage systems, sewage treatment works, power station drainage, dock water supply and drainage, water conservancy transfer, flood drainage and irrigation, and aquaculture. It is also the most complete solution for pump stations in riverside and lakeside areas with large water-level fluctuation and motor flood protection, eliminating long shafts and intermediate bearings for steadier, more reliable operation.
